Problem
As of this morning, when I open Word 2007 and try to edit a document, my mouse no longer is able to select text, click to a line or word in the document, etc.  I can use the menu items with the mouse but any mouse actions such as click, right click, etc. just magically stopped working

Solution
This seems to be a common problem...it has something to do with Add-Ins, and there are 2 steps you need to cure it.

Step 1--to fix the mouse problem:
Go into Regedit and navigate to: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Office\Word\Addins
One at a time, change the LOADBEHAVIOR key from 3 to 0 for your add-ins to find out which one is causing the problem

Step 2--to fix the Crash on Close problem
1. Close Word and Outlook
2. Start / Run and type regedit
3. Navigate to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\12.0\Word\Data
4. Rename this key.
5. Restart Word
